learnin to art

I've taken art classes but all the teachers have been overly critical hellbeasts or physically abusive towards students so I never had much formal art learnin as a result. now that I'm trying to do this stuff more often it's really made me realize how much I struggle with some basic stuff students learn, so I'm taking it upon myself to take anatomy courses online. I just started today, and from what I can gather so far a person is essentially just an overly complicated lava lamp
